MMI Taps Industry Leader Paul Zettl to Shape Its Next Chapter of Programming

October 13, 2026

Zettl brings deep industry expertise, longstanding MMI roots, and a bold vision for programming and engagement.

The Money Management Institute (MMI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Zettl as Executive Vice President, Chief Programming Officer, effective October 12, 2026.

In this role, Paul will lead MMI’s programming strategy, helping shape timely content and experiences that address member needs, encourage participation, and strengthen engagement across the MMI community. He will report directly to MMI President & CEO Craig Pfeiffer and work closely with the senior management team.

“Paul brings the ideal combination of deep industry expertise, longstanding commitment to MMI, and an innovative, member-focused mindset,” said Craig Pfeiffer, MMI President & CEO. “By bringing programming and marketing into closer alignment, he will help us strengthen the membership experience and expand the reach of our work.”

Paul joined MMI earlier this year as Interim Chief Marketing Officer and Strategic Advisor. He brings more than 28 years of financial services experience with leading wealth and asset management organizations. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Head of Global Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer at Cohen & Steers. His previous experience includes senior leadership roles at T. Rowe Price, TD Ameritrade, and Fidelity.

A longtime member of the MMI community, Paul previously served on MMI’s Board of Governors and helped establish MMI’s first Marketing Community, serving as its founding co-chair. His history with the organization reflects a continued passion for MMI’s mission, its members, and the advancement of the investment advisory profession.

“Having seen firsthand the impact MMI has on its members and the industry, taking on this role is both an honor and deeply personal,” said Zettl. “My focus will be creating programming that addresses our members’ most important priorities, brings our community together, and delivers meaningful value.”

Paul will succeed Joan Lensing, MMI’s current Executive Vice President, Chief Programming Officer, who will retire at the end of 2026 following more than 14 years of distinguished service. Paul and Joan will work closely together to support a smooth transition.

MMI continues to advance the financial services industry through education, professional development, and industry connections. Paul’s appointment builds on that strong programming foundation as the organization enters its next chapter.
